TEAM LUTON SUMMER LONG COURSE FULL

Update 15/3/22. Many thanks to all swimmers who have entered this meet. Unfortunately we are completely FULL and are unable to accept any further entries.  We have processed the entry files in strict order of receipt and will be running a waiting list for the long distance events for 800m/1500m events and, in order to run a balanced programme we are also going to have to reject some male swimmers from 400m free. We hope to have sorted all of this out by next weekend – thank you for your patience.

GUIDANCE FOR AUTUMN SHORT COURSE OPEN MEET

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to competition next weekend.

With cases of Coronavirus rising, particularly among children, we have undertaken a thorough risk assessment together with our pool operator. From this we have developed guidance to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Please can you read this guidance thoroughly and ensure that your swimmers understand its contents as well.

Most importantly please can everyone intending to be in the venue strive to take a lateral flow test on Friday 22 October and to not attend should the test come back positive.

Many thanks

OUR MASTERS ARE BACK TO WINNING FORM!!!

After 18 months’ absence due to the COVID pandemic, seven of our Masters’ squad revelled in being back in competition, all winning medals at the Barnet Masters Sprint Plus Meet. They won a total of 10 Gold, 8 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals. Three were also in County Masters record-breaking form. Read here for further details.

UK Government and Swim England issue further guidance on Coronavirus

On 12 March 2020 the Government announced that we were moving from the Contain to the Delay stage of  their action plan for handling the pandemic.

The key change in their guidance is that people should self isolate at home for 7 days if they have a new persistent cough and/or a fever.

We would ask that any swimmers, parents, coaches or friends please follow this guidance during training sessions and also  with respect to attendance at galas.

On 10 March Swim England issued further advice and links to UK Government website. This can be found here

Team Luton training will continue as normal.
