In the Swim Wales Boys 13 – 14 years Short Course championships held in Swansea, Jj Wilde swam four huge personal best times, bringing home three Bronze medals.
Coming into the championships Jj was seeded 13th in his 50m Freestyle with an entry time of 27.32. Qualifying third fastest from the heats with a pb of 25.79, Jj swam even faster to claim the Bronze with a final swim of 25.58 seconds.
A personal best time of 1:13.10 in the heats saw Jj qualify 5th fastest for the final of his 100 Breaststroke in which he proceeded to reduce his time to 1:11.73. A huge improvement but not enough to gain a medal.
Seeded 15th on entries for his 100m Freestyle, with a time of 1:00.08, Jj smashed his way into the final with a time of 56.56 seconds where he again lowered his personal time to 55.79 to collect the Bronze medal. The same sessions saw Jj qualify for the 50m Butterfly final, breaking the 30 second barrier with a further pb of 29.12 seconds. Jj went on to collect a third Bronze in a time of 28.67 seconds.
