In the 10/11-year girls age group, Sophie Lapucha claimed her first individual Medal – a silver – in the 50m Breaststroke final, with Emma Battersby 4th and Lucy Biscoe 6th. Nine-year-old Lucy Biscoe had started the day beating her older sister by only 0.08 seconds to claim a silver medal in the HDW 200m Freestyle, which also saw Emma claim the 8th fastest time. Ruth Biscoe won her second bronze of the day in the 50m Butterfly with Sophie 7th. Emma Strange just missed both the 50m Butterfly and Breaststroke finals, finishing in 9th place, with Emma Wood finishing 27th in her County debut. Lucy, Sophie, Emma & Ruth ended their day by completing a relay double, winning their 4 x 50m Freestyle relay.

The 12/13-year Girls team of Olivia Piaskowska, Alanna Njawaya, Violet Rhodes and Alice Buckingham could not quite emulate their younger club mates, having to settle for the silver medal in their age group’s relay. Ella Kolobius finished 4th in the 12 years’ 50m Butterfly; one of four individuals events won by Alice who broke the Club’s age group records in both the 400m IM and 50m Breaststroke that had stood for ten years. Alice was the fastest in the 200m Freestyle with Ella 7th, Inaaya Sampong 10th, Zuzanna Walaszek 14th and Mary Battersby 18th. Mary came 7th the final of the 50m Breaststroke with Zuzanna being first reserve from the heats.

Kaylyn was 7th in the 50m Breaststroke final with Gina Collinson 10th fastest in the heats. The three of them, together with Lauren Tough, finished 6th in their 14/15 years’ 4 x 50m Freestyle relay.

The 14/15 years’ team of George Rhodes, Jack Canham, Elliot Bown and Ethan Huntley were similarly placed in their relay. It capped a day where in the 14-year Boys’ individuals Ethan had won a silver and bronze for his 100m and 200m Butterfly and was placed 4th in his 100m Backstroke and 7th in his 200m IM. In that latter event Jack Canham was placed 8th and Elliot 14th. George Rhodes and Owain Roberts both finished 7th in their respective 15 and 16 years’ 200m IM.

Owain was one place away from his age group’s 100m Butterfly final. The 17 years and over’s Butterfly was won by Matt Wright who having also won that age group’s 100m Backstroke, claimed the Senior Championship title in both events.

Daniel Guimaraes was rewarded with the silver medal for his 12 years’ 200m Butterfly but just missed his age group’s 100m Backstroke final. The HDW 200m IM saw Daniel claim 8th spot, with Tyler Lavender 10th fastest. Leonn Stark was ranked 8th in the 10/11 years’ IM event with Maxim Collinson picking up the 13 years’ silver medal.
