Congratulations to Graham Powell on being the highest scoring Beds County Male Master in the 2024 GB Decathlon competition.
Karen Mackenzie was once again our highest scoring female finishing third in the County.
Our Men’s team was also once again the highest scoring Beds Club, finishing second only Team Anglia in the East Region whilst climbing back into the GB top 40. The Ladies Team also improved on their 2023 ranking claiming third spot in the County. (The Team Decathlon competition takes the four highest scoring swimmers from each Club. )
It was encouraging to see more of the squad testing themselves, competing in a wide range of events, with almost everyone exceeding their 2023 scores.

Jo Mitchinson was not included under Team Luton despite us being her ranking Club until she retired from Masters’ competitions in September 2024. She only raced on one occasion in the year and that was as Royston, for whom she coached.
