Unfortunately we have had to call off today’s competition due to the severe weather. We didn’t want people putting themselves in danger to get here. Apologies to those who did make the journey before this decision was made.

The club’s team spirit was clearly in evidence at last night’s Compendium Challenge which saw swimmers from ages 7 to 62 years old taking part. For some it was their first ever competitive events whist others could take pride in completing the endurance test of 8 sprint events in one session. All with the added bonus of spot prizes! Congratulations on the many Qualifying times, Club Records and Personal Best Times.
Thanks to all our officials, coaches, volunteers and parents for your support. We could not hold such galas without you.
Congratulations to our Phil Pelling who was elected the new Beds County ASA President at the AGM on 30th November.
Phil’s election is testament to his many years’ voluntary service to the County (as well as Team Luton).
After the first two rounds of the Arena League (London) we are in 10th place out of the 16 clubs in Division One. We go into the final round on Saturday 9th December at the Hertfordshire Sports Village with the same number of league points as 9th placed Brompton who were relegated last season from the Premier Division. Team Luton was represented in over thirty events at the East Region Long Course Winter Championships with eight of our swimmers having qualified to compete.

Congratulations to Rhys Davidson selected for England Programmes Phase 1 camps.
This fantastic achievement involves Rhys attending 3 one day camps through September to November aimed at developing his swim specific knowledge.
Head Coach Adam Taylor said, the selection was ” well deserved coming from (his) recent racing success. Well done Rhys – everyone at Team Luton is very proud. Make the most of this brilliant opportunity!”

Alex Mason won the 18-24 years’ 400m Freestyle as Team Luton collected a total of seven medals (1 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze) at the Swim England Masters Championships.
The swims recorded in Sheffield mean the Men have climbed to 12th in the GB Team Decathlon competition whilst the Ladies are currently 115th. Read here for full report.
