Five Medals At 2019 GB Masters Championships
Our swimmers demonstrated their prowess and versatility at the 2019 GB Masters, winning five medals – three of them in their respective age group’s 400m IM.

Malcolm Barton hung on to snatch the Silver whilst both Karen MacKenzie and John O’Rourke won Bronze medals. Malcolm and John were double medalists. After 14 years of Masters’ competitions, it was the first time that John had ever won medals on the National stage. Karen meanwhile set two new Beds County Masters records. 22 April 2019. Please find the result files for our Open Meet at the weekend. Congratulations to all of the swimmers
24 March 2019. Entries for this meet are now CLOSED. Accepted / rejected entries have been posted together with reserve lists for long distance events.
We are pleased that we have now been able to process all of the entries . Unfortunately we were over-subscribed and so have had to reject a number of swimmers to ensure that we stay within the maximum daily time allowance for a gala. We know that this will disappoint those swimmers we have rejected and hope that they can quickly find another gala to help them achieve their goals for this part of the season.
Below we have attached the initial accepted and rejected entries for the meet, together with a processing statement which outlines the methodology we used. Please check these carefully – a reminder that our email address for any queries is galas@teamluton.com.
We also include the Schedule of events which now sets out the start times for the afternoon and evening sessions.
During the week we will add the reserve lists for the 800m and 1500m events.

Quality Shines Through At 2019 County Championships
Fantastic performances by all of our swimmers contributed to a highly successful 2019 Beds County Championships held over three weekends.
Finishing second in the points tables to Bedford Modernian, we also achieved the second highest medal tally with 87 of our 188 medals being gold. We also brought home 30 of the 68 individual championship trophies.
Head Coach Rikki Morris was particularly pleased with the progress made by the younger swimmers, including those competing in their first county championships. Read here for the full report.
